1Killed 5 injured in Durban crash

One person has been killed and five others injured after a serious collision at the corner of Ordinance Road and Walnut Road just after 1am on Sunday morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two badly damaged vehicles in the junction. One male in his early twenties was found lying in the back seat of one of the vehicles.

Paramedics assessed him but unfortunately he had sustained multiple injuries and had passed away before Paramedics arrival. He was declared deceased on the scene. A further five people from both vehicles suffered various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
